Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Celeste Eckerman
Dr. Celeste M. Eckerman is excited to be practicing dentistry in the Carson Valley. While growing up in Sacramento, at the age of 12 she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. In 2007 her dream came true when she graduated from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. After graduation she moved to South Lake Tahoe where she met her future husband Chris McKean, while sailing on Lake Tahoe. The pair moved to the Carson Valley to start a life together and Dr. Eckerman realized her ultimate dream when she acquired Dr. Schopf’s dental practice in 2011. In 2014 she and Chris welcomed their daughter Charli to their lives. Dr. Eckerman is dedicated to the highest level of dental care available. She is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and has completed advanced education in complex restorative care from The Dawson Academy. When not practicing Dr. Eckerman enjoys camping, hiking and spending time with her husband, daughter and Australian Shepherds.
Dr. Wendy Auslen Schopf
Dr. Wendy A. Schopf, a 1987 graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, established this dental practice in 1989 and relocated it to its current location in 2001. After 22 years of full time dedication to her patients and practice Dr. Schopf handed over the reins to Dr. Eckerman in September 2011. During her years in practice, Dr. Schopf has focused her advanced education on acquiring the skills to provide complex rehabilitative and implant dentistry. She completed the curriculum in advanced education at The Dawson Academy. In 1999, Dr. Schopf began placing dental implants and in 2006 achieved Diplomate status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Schopf is excited to be practicing with Dr. Eckerman and enjoys returning to the practice to provide implant and surgical care for our patients. Dr. Schopf and her husband, Tony, love spending time with each other, their Australian Shepherd, Wiley and their two cats as well as traveling the world, fishing and trying new adventures.
